 We have a wide range of people in the club from very experienced modelers to  youth members 15 years old and up, beginners, intermediate flyers, husband and wife teams, people who like to build from scratch, people who fly electric planes only to some real hotshot helicopter pilots! If you don't think you fit in one of these categories then I will just have to add your interest to the list. In other words you will fit in! We have instructors who are ready and willing to teach at any level you are at from which end of the plane does the propeller go on, to how to adjust  that new 4 stroke engine you just bought to purr like a kitten. 

CBRC would welcome you to join us. We currently have an active membership nearing 140 men, women and young adults. In order to become a member, you must join the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). We are a sanctioned AMA field and you must belong to the AMA and CBRC to use our flying field. You can obtain a membership application by clicking on the link below.

IT”S ANNUAL DUES TIME

            Fellow CBRC’ers, it’s once again time to pay our dues.  However, there is a slight twist to this year’s remittance plan.   As discussed at two previous meetings, we are aligning our dues year to match that of the AMA.   To ensure the Club has sufficient operating funds during the change-over period, only half of the typical annual dues amount is to be paid this May/June timeframe.   Then, in Dec/Jan, the full dues amount will resume to fund the entire calendar/fiscal year.   A chart detailing the amount follows.

            A second twist to this dues renewal schedule is the addition of a ONE-TIME, $15.00 per adult member, dues increase to fund for the maintenance costs of the pavilion and physical plant of the field.   This increase will not carryover to the fall dues schedule.   Any money not immediately spent on physical plant maintenance will accrue to future maintenance projects.  This increase was a result of a motion offered, seconded and, unanimously accepted at the Mar ’10 meeting. 

            In an ever-ongoing effort to keep the Club’s records accurate, when submitting your dues, please use a Membership Application form verifying your AMA number, current telephone number and a valid e-mail address.   Since a printed Crab Rag is no longer published, e-mail is the only available method of directly communicating with the membership.  The address on the membership application to which your dues should be sent is current.   However, if you wish to pay them at the May or June meeting, you are certainly welcome to do that as well.   Membership decals will be available at both the meeting and field locations.
